The Shiner is the name of a parody of the 1980 Stanley Kubrick film version of the 1977 Stephen King novel The Shining. Published by MAD magazine, the parody was released in issue #221 of their March 1981 edition.
Cover Differences[]
The version of the magazine released in Mexico contained a cover devoted to The Shining. The German version also contained a cover devoted to The Shining while the US version did not.
